Lord, that lamp that You use to light my path with? I see now that it throws out just enough light to see where I’m going today. Its actually amazing how much light one small lamp can produce. Thank You for Your light that keeps my steps sure and for Your Light who keeps my life sure.

Sylvia, I have meditated often on this verse and realized that it doesn’t light the whole “road” as I would prefer; rather, it is a “lamp unto my feet” so that it may only show me where to plant my next step.
That’s how I see it as well. It gives me light for today, and often moment by moment.
