Yesterday my friend Sue, my daughter Lydia and I went to Burdett’s Tea Room in Springfield, TN. Someone asked me if it were a real English tea room …. no, it was a real southern tea room and I loved it!
It was absolutely wonderful. Really, its the best tea room I’ve ever been to. The atmosphere was just perfect. I met the owner while I was there. The friendliness of the owner and her staff is a big part of why the tea room is so enjoyable. The food was great, too! If I could go every day, I would. Here are some photos of our day.
As soon as you walk in, you know its going to be wonderful!
Earl Grey in a beautiful cup ….
Her Royal Highness is pleased ……
Yes. It did taste as delicious as it looks …..
Lots of fun and laughter … one of the ladies who worked there asked, “Were you all having this much fun before you got here?” Well, yes, we were, but the tea room was the highlight.
Lavender cupcake for dessert ….
Here, have a bite …..
I think this is what I will always think of when I think of Burdett’s Tea Room (actually called Burdett’s Tea Shop & Trading Company).

It looks like so much fun! I have to search our area for a similar Tea Room.
Simply beautiful! How much FUN! Would love to take my daughter their some day!
Oh that looks completely lovely! I wish they had something like that here where we live. I love going to those kind of places!

I am looking forward to seeing it
Looks like you had a great time… I wish my daughter was into things like this… Thank you for sharing.
You may just have to grab a friend or even find one and go by yourself!
How beautiful! And fun! Maybe we can meet there next time I visit Jessica? Is it there near the antique shop we went to?
Patty H
Yes its just a block or two away. Remember the guitar shop I showed you where David worked when he was a teenager? Its just three doors down from that. Right on the old town square. We have to go, Patty!
I love going for tea! I feel like a real lady and get dressed up a bit. It looks like you had fun with the dainty food and all. Glad you enjoyed it.
Blessings,
Debbie
Well, that just looks to be a really sweet place to sit with good friends. I’m glad you had a good time, Sylvia.
