Thinking About Spring ~ Recap and Review

I’m kind of stoked for the 5 Weeks To A Clean and Organized Home… are you? Last week I finished up organizing the 5 weeks. We’ve talked about Homemade Natural Cleaners and Disinfectants and Homemade Natural Laundry Aides. Later this week we will talk about decorating ideas for spring. You know that I like natural items for decorating, right??

Here’s a sneak peak at some of the goodies I’ve found for spreading spring around …

Hey, I don’t have any entry ways, and my hallway is short!! SO does that mean I get a week off?? Actually I have 4 bedrooms, and one is a junk room/bedroom. So I’m guessing I should focus in there that week. :)

    • Sylvia says:

Yes, that’s the plan! I will encourage everyone to choose a substitute room when they won’t be cleaning the room assigned. Noooo, you don’t get a week off. lol

  2. heather wilson says:

I am hoping for some new insights and fresh eyes. Sometimes I think I get stale in my cleaning routine and I just rush through and end up missing things.

    • Sylvia says:

I think I do too and that is why I started Spring Cleaning so many years ago! It helps to have someone else look at your work and give you ideas. I am looking forward to this year’s cleaning, my house is just too dusty.

  3. Cecily says:

Now that I think about it Matt actually got started a little early, and totally re-arranged our room this weekend so he could clean out all the dust bunnies under everything. So I guess, since I can’t have 1 week off, I couldn’t have two off, :D . But that junk room might take 2 weeks to get thru, ;) lol

    • Sylvia says:

You gave me a chuckle this morning, Cecily … I could almost be persuaded to take the whole 5 weeks off and hire someone to do it for me! But I will press forward and try to get it all done.

  4. Tina Lahr says:

WOW! I better eat a good breakfast everyday!

  5. Kim says:

Okay this is the kick in the butt I need. I am one step ahead as I’ve already decorated for Spring so I’ll just sit back and drink coffee and look at everyone else’s that day! LOL!

Thank you for putting this together.
    Hugs
    Kim

  6. Sheri says:

First off, I love the flour sacks. Not a thing in my kitchen would match those, but I guess, I could redecorate after all the cleaning is done! The way you have organized it,makes it seem doable. I’m married to a “tidy mouse”, so I’m always looking for creative and new ideas to make the same old jobs enjoyable. I love standing back and looking at a newly cleaned fridge or pantry! It’s strange I know, but there is nothing better than newly cleaned and organized! Thanks for helping us!

  7. Michelle says:

    I love those flour sacks!

I don’t decorate for the seasons, so I don’t know what I’ll be doing. Maybe wash the windows to let more sunlight in. LOL

Yay, the kitchen is the first week. :)

  8. Jen says:

Hooray, I have my work schedule for week 1, now I know what days I can participate. I only work one day during the week, and it’s actually an evening, so I can do most of the days. Looking forward to doing the kitchen, it really really needs it, esp the top of the fridge mess :)
