Homekeeper’s Journal ~ Tuesday, May 11

The Homekeeper’s Journal is a way for you to write down your thoughts about life. Writing is a great way to come to an understanding about yourself and your world. Keeping a journal can be difficult to do when you are a busy mom and wife, but this journal will give you a way to keep track of your thoughts and will give you some writing prompts so that you will have inspiration for writing.

Here’s how to participate in the Homekeeper’s Journal:

1. First, copy and paste the writing prompts in a post at your blog. Complete the prompts, which means fill in your own thoughts, and make your post on your blog.
2. Now click on Mcklinky where it says, “You are next…CLICK HERE to enter your link…Add your entry”, fill in your name, blog’s name with the url to your Homekeeper’s Journal entry at your blog this week.
3.Don’t forget to take the Homekeeper’s Journal image to put on your own blog, just right click and save the image to your computer so you can use the picture on your blog.
4.A link back to this post would be very nice!

If you do not have a blog, you can make your entry right here in the comment section of this post.

In my kitchen ……. I am making coconut chicken, flatbread and brown rice.

On my mind today …… middle age, hormones, weight gain and the mystery of it all.

Something that makes me feel rather touchy …….. when someone criticizes one of my children and it is obvious that they do not really know my child. I am learning to leave this to God, but it is a very difficult lesson.

One goal for this week is ….. to eat healthfully and minimally.

What I’m reading …… a few novels by Anne Perry, John Calvin on the Psalms, books about making potpourri and soap

One individual I am praying for ….. my child

I am looking forward to …… summer!  and vacation time with the family, lazy days and long summer evenings.

On the Back Burner of my mind …… new people in my life, need to step out get to know them.

I see God moving ……. in the lives of my children, in my life, in the lives of my husband and I together, in my Church and all around me.

In my kitchen ……. Leftovers for me. Everyone else has other plans for dinner.

On my mind today …… My parents! Will be having a graduation party for my daughter. They are invited. It will be the 2nd time they see each other in 40 years. The divorce(I was 4)was horrible!

Something that makes me feel rather touchy …….. When someone criticizes my homemaking career choice.

One goal for this week is ….. To finish my bedroom spring cleaning.

What I’m reading …… Still not reading. I will when summer starts and things slow down for me.

One individual I am praying for ….. My best friend. Her husband works for Toyota and they are both shoppahloics and they are flat broke.

I am looking forward to …… My daughter graduating high school!

On the Back Burner of my mind …… Wishing I wasn’t so negative.

I see God moving ……. and making changes for this new step in my life.
