Homekeeper’s Journal ~ June 15 ~ With Linky Love

The Homekeeper’s Journal is a way to keep track of your thoughts, in journal form, online. I have given you the prompts, written my own responses, and given you a Mclinky to use to leave the link to your own Journal entry. A link back here is nice but not required. Its also a great way to get traffic moving to your blog and share your thoughts with others.

Oh, and you can join in the journal any time this week, it doesn’t have to be today!

What’s going on in my kitchen this week ….. beet greens, beans and bacon, bread, country broccoli soup, homemade cream of tomato soup.

Every time I try to ….. organize my husband’s stuff it just gets worse! Its as if his stuff is as indifferent to being organized as he is. My goal this week is to get his four huge boxes of thousands of baseball cards stored in the attic. I have researched and discovered that a hot attic will not harm baseball cards (insert maniacal laugh here).

Thinking very heavily on this right now … Vacation Bible School. I am directing this year. I adore VBS and everything that goes along with it. We’re using Group”s Egypt: Joseph’s Journey From Prison To Palace, and we’re going to be teaching children and adults alike that God is with us in every stage of our lives, the good and the bad, and that He has a plan for us.

I wish my Mother or someone had told me that ….. menopause is such a drag.

I am determined to ….. follow hard after the Lord.  I think of Psalm 63 where the psalmist talks of thirsting for God. And I think of how Elijah followed hard after God (2 Kings).  I want to follow hard after Him all of my days!

Now its your turn!

  1. Make your own entry at your blog using the prompts that are in bold type above.
  2. Finish out the prompts with your own words.
  3. Grab the Homekeeper’s Journal picture and use it on your blog with a link to CHK.
  4. Come back here and put the link to your blog post in the Linky below.

Hey Sylvi, did you really want linky open on June 21 for this week? In any case, I hear you about the menopause thing. We just had this discussion last night at baseball practice, because a few of us are starting the whole peri-menopause thing. Have a great day!!

Thank you very much for the Greens, beans and bacon recipe! I cannot have gluten or milk (including cheese) and it is hard to find a good, easy, filling recipe WooWoo- can’t wait to try it!

What’s going on in my kitchen this week …..Chicken in lemon sauce and a salad. We do not eat a lot in hot weather.

Every time I try to ….. help, lately, no one wants it. Feeling frustrated.

Thinking very heavily on this right now … about my father in law, whose wife passed Friday.

I wish my Mother or someone had told me that ….. I wish my mom had been around to tell me things. I never say “My mom always said….”.

I am determined to ….. to not be lazy about my time with the Lord this summer.
