What’s happening in my home?….

In my kitchen… The kitchen is at almost a standstill. Ok with me because I cooked and baked a lot at Christmas and Thanksgiving. I am making bread today. Tonight I am making baked salmon using a marinade from Vital Choice that a friend gave me for Christmas. I think that friend knows me well enough to know that if we like it, I will attempt to make my own marinade! haha!
It smells delicious and I can hardly wait.

With our marriage… We continue to grow together, grow older, grow closer to Christ. We are working in good harmony and I hope it will continue to grow and that God will allow us to grow old together.

With the children… They are having a ball with their Christmas gifts. A very kind relative gave them a Wii this year. I never imagined that we would have one, I don’t think we would ever buy one. but they have one now and everyone is enjoying it so much. I even played a game or two the other day and decided that one day I’d like to have a Wii Fit.
I have two children who are making choices that are stressing me a bit. I am just praying and holding on to God’s faithfulness in this. One child can be guided, the other is more difficult. So I just pray and try to be kind and gentle while I deliver truth to them.

Around the homestead… Since its cold and frosty outside I have been thinking of gardens and how to get more ground broken up. Mark still wants to break more ground at his mother’s. I am not too excited about that because it seems like wasted time to me. We don’t get out there enough to keep a good garden and he stays out there enough to the detriment of whatever gardens we have here. I would like to break more ground here instead.

In my “Inner Man”…. My Inner Man needs nourishment and watering. I am attempting to do this by staying in step with my regular Bible study at Church and by finding a study I can do here at home every day.
What is your Inner Man? In 2 Corinthians 4 Paul gives us a clue about what he means when he says “the inner man”. In that scripture he says that “our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day” (4:16 KJV). So for Christians even though there is something about us that is getting old, decaying and deteriorating and dying..there is also something about us that is growing, becoming more alive, richer and stronger every day we live and follow Christ. That is what Paul calls our “inner man.”

Its your turn now. What is happening in YOUR home? You can add your link to Mr Linky and let us know. A post here would also be very welcome so that I know you are following along. If you don’t have a blog you can make your post on your Face Book or just post and make your entry here.
