What’s happening in my home?….

In my kitchen… the kitchen is a little cluttered right now because the washer was being worked on. Now I need to put all the laundry closet’s contents back in it.

With our marriage… we’re working our way through the financial demands of the season.

With the children… trying to stay focused, or rather I am trying to keep them focused on school until time for our Christmas break. I am anticipating the break as much as they are so this is a real effort!

Around the homestead… this begins the rainy season here and everything outside stays dreary and wet and nasty looking til the foliage appears in April or May. Parts of the house gets water-logged and eventually its going to cause us to have to replace the whole front of the house. Not looking forward to that. Inside however, our little house is warm and dry and I am thankful for that.

In my “Inner Man”…. its a season. I don’t know exactly what it is, I’m getting older, people are perceiving me differently than when I was young. Many are looking up to me, asking me for help, and I think that comes along with being older. I just pray daily that I will answer wisely and from the Lord’s wisdom alone.

What is your Inner Man? In 2 Corinthians 4 Paul gives us a clue about what he means when he says “the inner man”. In that scripture he says that “our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day” (4:16 KJV). So for Christians even though there is something about us that is getting old, decaying and deteriorating and dying..there is also something about us that is growing, becoming more alive, richer and stronger every day we live and follow Christ. That is what Paul calls our “inner man.”

Now its your turn! What is happening in your home this week?

I really liked this, and I am going to use this scripture and some of your comments about the outward man when teaching as a subsitute tomorrow.
