Homekeeper’s Journal ~ 11/25/09

homekeepers-journalI’ve added a Mcklinky for you to use to add your entry in the Homekeeper’s Journal.  Look at the bottom of this post. Just fill in your name, blog’s name and the url to your Homekeeper’s Journal entry this week.

What’s happening in my home?…………….

In my kitchen… baking, cooking, prepping lots of food for tomorrow!

With our marriage… enjoying these gentle, happy days as we get older and hopefully wiser

With the children…we’re taking the week off from school and the children are loving it. My college age daughter is on break too.  Tomorrow the rest of them will be here!

Around the homestead… I’ve worked pretty steadily this week but it hasn’t been difficult and hadn’t worn me out. Hoping that the house will stay semi-clean for the Cookie Exchange next week.

In my “Inner Man”…..I’m still working on listening and obeying.  You’d think by this time I’d have it all down but I don’t.  Praying that God will help me with a difficult circumstance with a person and that I will bring Him glory and honor in how I handle it.  I am counting my blessings this week and trying to make it a daily habit of doing so. I have so much to be thankful for.

What is your Inner Man? In 2 Corinthians 4 Paul gives us a clue about what he means when he says “the inner man”. In that scripture he says that “our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day” (4:16 KJV). So for Christians even though there is something about us that is getting old, decaying and deteriorating and dying..there is also something about us that is growing, becoming more alive, richer and stronger every day we live and follow Christ. That is what Paul calls our “inner man.”

Now its your turn……..  let me know what’s in your Homekeeper’s Journal this week….
